Maps
Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
The map tiles come from Protomaps, which makes them from OpenStreetMap data. We make our map style from the Protomaps basemaps style. The Protomaps basemaps style is available under the BSD-3-Clause license.
The terrain on the maps and in route images comes from Mapterhorn. Mapterhorn combines elevation data from many sources. Its attribution page lists each source and its license.
The map labels use the Manrope and Noto Sans fonts. Both are available under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
We keep copies of the map tiles, the terrain, and the label fonts on our own servers. The dashboard, the RideTrace app, and our route images use only these copies.
An ⓘ on each map and next to route images shows the map credits.
Weather
The weather shown for a ride comes from Open-Meteo. We send it one position, the center of the ride's track, and the ride's dates. We do not send your route. Weather data by Open-Meteo.com, available under CC BY 4.0.
Geocoding (ride names)
When a ride has GPS data, RideTrace asks Nominatim for a ride name, such as the name of a road or an area. We send it two positions: the start and the end, or for a round trip, the start and the point furthest from it. We do not send your route.

Open data license note
The map tiles that our servers serve are made from OpenStreetMap data. They are an unmodified regional extract of a Protomaps build. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
